Civil Engineering Technology Certificates
The Civil
Engineering Technology program offers
several certificates that provide
individuals currently working in the
civil/construction/engineering arena
an opportunity for advancement. These
certificates provide focused
coursework by professional faculty
resulting in distinct pathways for
advancement within the industry. Each
certificate places an emphasis on core
competencies that have been
established through Industry Advisory
Boards, State Registration Boards and
collaborations with University
partners. What should you know about
the Certificates offered by the Civil
Engineering Technology program? There are 3 and
each is targeted at individuals with
prior experience and education
within a certain field. They are as
follows:
- The Advanced
Surveying Certificate. This is
directed at graduates of 2-yr
Surveying degree programs that
intend to pursue the Bachelor of
Science in Surveying with Northern

Surveying Certificate. This is
directed at graduates of 4-yr Civil
Engineering degree programs that
